Pasadena reveals phases of construction for Fairmont Parkway improvement project
The expansion and improvement project for Fairmont Parkway has begun, with sections of the road between the Beltway and Space Center Boulevard under construction while the project is in Phase I.
Slight delays are expected for drivers along the route, but the City of Pasadena and Harris County Precinct 2 are working to minimize the impact on the commute. Phase I is expected to be completed in October, and will add a lane in each direction, as well as turnarounds at Fairway Plaza, Country Road, Space Center Boulevard, Rhodes Street and Manordale Drive.
Phase II construction will affect Space Center Boulevard to Manordale. Phase III, slated to begin in October or November, will involve a bridge expansion over Armand Bayou and is expected to finish by August 2013. Phase IV, from Manordale to Red Bluff, is planned to begin and end at the same time as Phase III.
