Dr. Howard Wasdin to speak at Texas Chiropractic College

Former U.S. Navy SEAL and chiropractor Dr. Howard Wasdin will speak at the Texas Chiropractic College at 11 a.m. Feb. 8 in the college's Russell Auditorium.

Wasdin, a practicing chiropractor, will present the importance of winning as a team and its importance to the profession. After the presentation, Wasdin will sign copies of his book, SEAL Team Six: Memoirs of an Elite Navy SEAL Sniper.

"It's an honor for us to welcome Dr. Wasdin to Texas Chiropractic College," Dr. Richard G. Brassard, college president, said in a press release. "This is a gentleman who helped keep our country safe and secure during his distinguished service in the Navy, and now keeps the members of his community safe and healthy as a chiropractor"

Wasdin conducted counterterrorism missions while in the Navy and was a member of SEAL Team Six. He was awarded the Silver Star for his part in the Battle of Mogadishu in 1993. He graduated from Life University in Marietta, Ga., in 2009 and currently practices in Georgia.
