The seven additions were announced on Tuesday, Jan. 17. The new additions are:

Robert Bob Barfield, a coach of the Eagles football team for 15 years who made it to the state finals during his first year;

Carl Choate, a football player and member of the track team who was on the Barfield's 1958 team;

George Chesire, another noted football player and track runner who was the school's most reliable receiver in Baylor history;

Mike Kirland, an athlete who went on to be quarterback for the Arkansas Razorbacks and Baltimore Colts in the 1970s;

Dan McIlhany, a quarterback for the Trojans in the 1960s who went on to play for Texas A&M and in the NFL;

David Freisleben, was a pitcher from Sam Rayburn who played professionally for seven years;

Trevor Cobb, a running back at Dobie who broke several records at Rice and won the Doak Walker Award for being the nation's best running back in 1991.

These newly announced inductees will be entered into the Pasadena ISD Hall of Fame along with five who were announced last spring.

Tickets to the ceremony will go on sale Wednesday, Feb. 1 at the price of $50. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Pasadena ISD Athletic Ticket Office.

In the future, the Hall of Fame committee hopes to hold banquets for inductees, which will help provide scholarships to senior athletes in the Pasadena ISD.
