The contest consisted of a three-course meal competition and a cupcake wars competition.
Teams in the contest consisted of current students from the college and visiting high school students from the Goose Creek ISD.
Each student on the first-place winning teams received a $500 college scholarship.
According to the press release, Steve Rudd, the North Campus Director of Culinary Services, stated "Events like this that involve college and high school students collaborating build leadership skills, communication skills, teamwork, time management, while helping San Jac turn today's students into tomorrows chefs."
