Pasadena to hold annual 'Can Do!' food drive
The City of Pasadena will host its second annual 'Can Do!' food drive from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10 at Veteran's Memorial Stadium. City employees and volunteers will accept donations of canned food and non-perishable food items. All items will be distributed to charitable organizations and food pantries in the area.
Many local food pantries and community programs have low reserves. “There are food pantries right here in Pasadena that have only a few food items remaining on their shelves,” Mayor Johnny Isbell said in a press release.
Local businesses, associations and individuals are urged to participate. Those donating are not required to leave their vehicles; volunteers will unload all items.
