The San Jacinto College Honors Program will host a Star party from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at the school's south campus, 13735 Beamer Road.
Guests will have a chance to take a closer look at the universe with binoculars and a host of telescopes, some being brought by members of Johnson Space Center's Astronomical Society.
"Seeing the universe first-hand through a telescope is an amazing experience," Walter Thompson, physics and astronomy professor, said in a press release. "I am so lucky to be able to relive the feelings of awe and wonder when someone sees the moon or Jupiter for the first time."
The event is free and open to students, faculty, staff and the public.
