Pasadena to host 'Careers in Construction' week
HoustonWorks USA will begin its observance of "Careers in Construction Week" at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at the Pasadena City Council meeting at Pasadena City Hall.
"Careers in Construction Week" runs through Nov. 4 and is designed to teach students about opportunities in the construction industry and increase awareness of the contributions made by construction professionals.
During the week, students enrolled in HoustonWorks USA's construction and industrial vocational programs will be visited by guest speakers from the Home Builders Institute, U.S. Green Building Council Gulf Coast Chapter, Workforce Solutions Pasadena and local employers.
