Harris County to promote disaster preparedness tonight
The Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will present a program on emergency preparedness from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight at AMC Gulf Pointe 30 Theatre, located at 11801 S. Sam Houston Parkway E.
Disaster preparedness videos will be screened, with seating beginning at 6:45 p.m. Attendees will be able to interact with area first responders. Emergency trucks will be on hand, including Hazmat fire trucks, U.S. Coast Guard apparatus, an ambulance that accommodates 20 patients and a S.W.A.T. tank.
