City of Pasadena to hold drug take-back day
The City of Pasadena will take part in the Drug Enforcement Agency's national "Take Back Day" on Saturday, Oct. 29.
The public can bring unused, unwanted or expired prescription drugs for safe and free disposal at a collection site at The Summit.
People will have the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous prescription drugs. The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.
Last year at the first-ever Drug Take Back Day, Americans turned in more than 242,000 pounds of prescription drugs. Then at the second event, which was held this past April, Americans turned in 376,593 pounds of prescription drugs.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and The Summit is located at 1838 E. Sam Houston Parkway in Pasadena.
