Pasadena musician's favorite performances done with family
Pasadena musician's favorite performances done with family The Pasadena-area banjo player - and member of the Bay Area Bluegrass Association - has done his share of solo acts, but the moments closest to his heart have been his performances with his brothers, his wife and his children. English first began performing with his brothers for family and friends, but during his college years, he and brother Wes started performing folk and bluegrass at area restaurants and coffee houses as The English Brothers. The group performed Christian, folk and some contemporary music, and English threw in some Hee Haw-style comedy routines. The English Brothers, meanwhile, were "resurrected" five years ago when English, Wes and Ray joined youngest brother, Gerald, and formed a chuck wagon venue in Texas Hill Country.
