HS Football : South Houston tops Sterling
South Houston defeated Sterling in high school football action Saturday.
The Trojans, 1-1, won the game 24-14 at Stallworth Stadium. Wide receiver Torre Daniel caught eight passes for 108 yards and a touchdown in the victory. South Houston will visit Alvin Friday at 7 p.m. in Alvin Memorial Stadium. Saturday’s loss dropped Sterling to 0-2 on the year. Quarterback Jakob McWhirter went 4-10 for 85 yards, a touchdown and an interception in the loss for Sterling. The Rangers will visit Humble on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Turner Stadium.Related Stories
