Pasadena assisted living facility blamed for patients fall
A woman is suing over claims her mother failed to receive proper care while residing in an assisted living facility in Pasadena.
Olivia Zepeda filed a lawsuit on Aug. 31 in Harris County District Court against Park Manor of South Belt, in Pasadena, citing negligence and gross negligence.
Zepeda says that from 2008 through 2010, her mother, as a resident of Park Manor, fell numerous times, and in June 2010, she experienced a significant fall that caused severe injuries to her neck and back.
According to the brief, Park Manor knew of her mother’s history of mental confusion and falls but failed to monitor her mother adequately.
Zepeda is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Jeffrey Davis.
