Blood centers to hold special Labor Day hours

The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center’s Neighborhood Donor Centers will observe special hours on Labor Day.

On Monday, Sept. 5, the donor centers in Baytown, Champions, Conroe, Cy-Fair, Katy, Pasadena, Sugar Land and The Woodlands will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

More than 1,000 blood donations are needed every day in the region. As many individuals are off work on Sept. 5, the blood center is asking those who are able to donate blood.

As an incentive, the center is offering 300 bonus points to all who donate at a Neighborhood Donor Center from Friday, Sept. 2 through Sept. 5. Points can be redeemed online for items in the Commit for Life store.
