La Porte HS grad Kendrick Perkins continues to kill Gulf Coast league pitching
La Porte High School graduate Kendrick Perkins went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI as the Gulf Coast League Red Sox beat the GCL Orioles, 6-2, Tuesday.
Perkins is a 2010 graduate of La Porte High School. He was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the sixth round (203rd overall) of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft.
Perkins signed with Boston and began his professional career in 2010 with the Red Sox rookie team of the Gulf Coast League. He was born Sept. 12, 1991, in La Porte.
