Pasadena residents accuse League City contractors of shoddy work
Pasadena residents are suing after hiring League City contractors to repair their home, damaged during a neighborhood explosion.
Pasadena resident James and Sandra Evans filed a lawsuit on June 23 in Harris County District Court against Chris Davis, Brian Cox and Compass Innovative Construction, of League City, citing breach of contract, breach of warranty and violations of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
The Evanses say that on Nov. 30, 2010, they hired the defendants to repair their home, located at Shawnee Street in Pasadena, after it was damaged when a neighbor’s house caught fire and exploded. According to the brief, the defendants breached this agreement by failing to meet good quality work standards during the project.
The Evanses are seeking $22,209.09 in economic damages, exemplary damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. They are represented in the case by Houston attorney F.B. Harvie Jr.
