Area man graduates with honors from Air Force training
Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Felipe A. Sanchez graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Felipe A. Sanchez graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
The airman, a 1998 South Houston High School graduate, completed an intensive eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Sanchez earned distinction as an honor graduate.
He is the son of Maria Liceaga of Tolman Street in Houston. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2009 from The University of Houston.
