Ruiz says he was invited into Simmons' condominium in October 2010 to complete some work on the property. He claims he was hurt due to unsafe conditions inside the condo.
The suit does not list any details about Ruiz's alleged injuries or how he received them.
Ruiz accuses Simmons of negligence and asks for an unspecified amount of money in damages for medical bills and court fees.
Attorney Matias J. Adrogue is representing Ruiz. They ask for a jury trial.
