Pasadena ISD seeks contractor for special-needs transport
The Pasadena Independent School District is accepting bids until March 31 for transportation service for the Special Education Department.
Up for bid is a one-year contract to provide the district with round-trip transportation for one special-needs student and one parent from the student's home, located in the 4800 block of Yellowstone Trail, to the Avondale House, 3737 O'Meara Drive.
Pickup is Monday to Friday at 7:30 a.m., after which the parent is driven back home. The contractor picks the parent up again at 2:30 p.m. at the home, then picks up the student at the Avondale House and drives both parent and child back home.
The contractor provides the vehicle, a professional driver and one attendant. The contract begins May 1, with options to renew until 2016.
