AURA ensemble to perform at San Jacinto
The University of Houston's Moores School of Music will be sponsoring a pair of genre-bending concerts this Sunday and Monday.
The school will be presenting a show by the AURA Contemporary Ensemble that includes work by "innovative and genre-bending" composer and violinist Todd Reynolds as well as the "gritty, funky, and evocative" work of Bill Ryan. The ensemble will be led by director Rob Smith as well as assistant director JungHwan Kwon.
The first concert will take place at the Jan Corbin Recital Hall in the Monte Blue Music Building at San Jacinto College in Pasadena. The building is located at 4624 Fairmont Parkway. For more information, call 281-998-6150 (ext. 1832).
The Monday show will occur at the Moores Opera House on the University of Houston campus, located at Cullen Boulevard off of I-45. Tickets cost $10 for the general public and $5 for students and seniors. For more information, call 713-743-3313.
