A man charged with one burglary in La Porte may be responsible for many
others in Deer Park in Pasadena, La Porte police said Monday.

Zachery Don Ables, 21, was arrested Thursday after police allegedly found
his fingerprints at a burglary scene in La Porte.

A criminal complaint filed last week Harris County Court gave a La Porte
address for Ables. However, La Porte police spokesman Sgt. John Krueger said
that Ables has recently been living in Deer Park and is currently on parole
for a previous burglary conviction.

"He was identified through a combination of forensic and video evidence,"
Krueger said in a press release.

Krueger says Ables is now also suspected in at least one other La Porte
burglary and four other break-ins. He says Deer Park and Pasadena police are
looking into Ables as a possible suspect in "as many as a dozen other
cases."

Anyone with additional information on burglaries in the area can reach La
Porte police at 281-471-2141.
