Police investigate four weekend car burglaries in Deer Park

Four car burglaries occurred in Deer Park between the evening hours of Jan. 16 and the morning of Jan. 17, according to police reports.

A stereo valued at $200 was stolen from a truck between 4 p.m. on Jan. 16 and 5:10 a.m. on Jan. 17, police said. The truck, a gray 2002 Chevrolet 2500 pickup, was parked at the victim's home in the 4200 block of Kelvin Lane.

According to police, a truck belonging to the Deer Park offices of Team Industrial Services was burglarized sometime between 10 p.m. on Jan. 16 and 5:30 a.m. on Jan. 17. The incident is alleged to have occurred in the 900 block of Wildwood Drive. Items reported stolen from the white 2009 Chevrolet Silverado include a global positioning system device and two chargers. Police report that while the alleged burglar entered through the passenger side door, there was no damage to the door or lock.

Another car burglary occurred between 6:40 p.m. on Jan. 16 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 17 in the 900 block of Paulette Drive, police said. A silver 2005 Ford F-150 is alleged to have been damaged, but nothing was reported as stolen.

Finally, police said a car burglary occurred overnight between 10 p.m. on Jan. 16 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 17. Few valuables seem to have been stolen in this case, too -- just $2 in currency was reported as missing from the red 2002 Ford F-250 truck. The incident is alleged to have occurred in the 1400 block of North Parkside.
