Deer Park PD to hold Citizen's Police Academy

The Deer Park Police Department will begin its next Citizen's Police Academy
on Thursday, Feb. 17.

There are 25 spots available in the class, and applications will be accepted
until the class is full. Classes will take place on Thursday nights from 7
p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Police Department, 2911 Center St.

"This is your opportunity to get to know your police department and the
officers behind the badge," says Community Liaison Sheila Plovanich. "The
goal of the FREE CPA is to strengthen police/community partnerships and give
you the opportunity to an inside view of each division of the PD."
