Deer Park police ask citizens for help in stopping solicitors

Deer Park police are encouraging citizens to report violations of the
citys ordinance prohibiting soliciting.

Unwelcome solicitation and peddling in Deep Park is considered a
nuisance and carries a fine of $150. Charitable organizations,
churches, and people accomplishing civic endeavors are exempt from the
ordinance.

Citizens who observe violations of the solicitation ordinance are
asked to contact the police non-emergency line at (281) 479-1511.
