UMHB women's soccer defeats University of the Ozarks
Jordan Powers, a 2009 Deer Park high School graduate, delivered an assist on Erin Salyer's fourth goal of the game in the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor's 7-2 blowout of the University of the Ozarks Thursday in Clarksville, Arkansas.
The UMHB women's soccer team improved to 3-3-1 overall and 2-2-1 in American Southwest Conference play. The loss dropped the University of the Ozarks to 0-9-1 overall and 0-4-1 in the ASC.
With the assist, Powers now has four goals and three assists for 11 points this season. As a freshman at UMHB, Powers was honorable mention All-ASC. At Deer Park HS, she earned All-District honors as a senior and was named the teams Most Valuable Player.
The Cru women will end their road trip at U.T.-Dallas on Saturday in Richardson. UMHB will then return home to host Louisiana College and Mississippi College next weekend at the Cru Sports Plex.
