Classes for election poll workers set for October
The General & Special Elections will be held Nov. 2 this year, and for those interested in working at the polls for the upcoming election season, administration law classes will be offered in Pasadena throughout the month of October.
The classes will be held Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the East Harris County Activity Center, in Pasadena.
The Elections Department holds classes every election cycle for presiding and alternate election judges who are appointed by their political parties to work at the poll on Election Day.
Election clerks are also welcome but are not compensated for attending.
Appointed presiding and alternate election judges do not need to make a reservation to attend the class.
Classes will be held in the following locations:
Downtown: Saturday, Oct. 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jury Assembly Room, located at 1019 Congress St., in Houston
Memorial: Monday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Tracy Gee Community Center, 3599 Westcenter Dr., Houston, TX 77042
Aldine: Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the M.O. Campbell Educational Center, 1865 Aldine Bender Rd., Houston, TX 77032
