Benino Pruneda pitched one inning, striking out two and allowing no earned runs Friday in the Mississippi Braves's 14-9 loss at the Mobile Bay Bears. Pruneda graduated from Deer Park High School.

Pruneda is a 2006 graduate of Deer Park High School and played one season (2007) at San Jacinto College before being selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 31st round (948th overall) of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft. As a pitcher Pruneda has a career minor league record through 2010 of 7-12 and an ERA of 3.52 with 254 strikeouts in 189 innings. The county clerk in Montgomery County reported the following arrests on July 9:

Javier Hernandez Jr., of 5419 Imperial Grove Drive, Houston, TX 77066, was arrested on alleged charges of DRIVING W/LIC INV W/PREV CONV/SUSP/W/O FIN RES and driving with an invalid license and previous conviction.

Wilfred Joseph Labbe, of 4119 Belgrade, Houston, TX 77045, was arrested on alleged charges of DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED 2ND and driving while intoxicated 2nd.

Lee Dell Nard was arrested on alleged charges of POSS MARIJ <2OZ and possession of marijuana (less than two ounces). Nard's address is listed as 750 Inwood Park Drive, Houston, TX 77088.

Steve Pina, of 915 Melbourne St., Houston, TX 77022, was arrested on alleged charges of POSS MARIJ <2OZ and possession of marijuana (less than two ounces).
