College Softball: Sarah Maples, Coastal Carolina University

Sarah Maples went 1 for 3 and scored a run in Coastal Carolina University's 7-2 victory over Liberty University on Thursday. Maples is a 2009 graduate of Deer Park High School.

Maples played at Deer Park in 2004-2008, where she was a three-year letterwinner. She was the team's MVP and captain in 2007-2008. Maples also earned First-Team All-22-5A honors in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. She was named the team's Defensive MVP her sophomore year and played club ball for the Texas Eclipse Gold. She is the daughter of Danny and Cindy Maples.
